Hemp Enthusiasm in the lone star state is still sky high.
The first annual Texas Hemp Conference was held in Dallas a few weeks ago, at the end of January, and attendance throughout the three-day event made it clear that people remain eager to explore the economic benefits hemp can deliver to Texas.
This will be the first season that hemp is legal in Texas. Their rules were reviewed by the USDA nad several minor changes were requested which the Agency of Agriculture along with the Texas Department of State Health Services made. The changes were clearly satisfactory as the USDA approved Texas’s rules while the conference was taking place.
The Businesses and individuals attending the Texas convention all expect to be able to register their businesses sometime in the next 30 – 60 days. Given the size of the Texas economy and the excellent farming conditions there for hemp, most expect Texas to develop a booming hemp economy inside of a year.
